Before Using the Comal (Seasoning Instructions)

1. Clean it with water and a stiff-bristle brush to remove any dust or stone residue (use very little soap).

2. Dry it thoroughly and place it on the stove or grill over low heat.

3. Add a small amount of vegetable oil and spread it with a paper towel or brush.

4. Heat over medium heat for 10–15 minutes until the oil is absorbed.
